Threads is currently experimenting with allowing users to set a 24-hour expiration timer on their posts, similar to Stories, where the post and replies would vanish after the time limit. This feature is being tested with a group of users, as confirmed by a spokesperson and initially discovered by developer Alessandro Paluzzi. This concept is reminiscent of Twitter’s Fleets, which was not widely embraced, but could be beneficial for users who frequently delete posts. This follows Instagram head Adam Mosseri’s revelation that Threads was also exploring auto-archiving posts, though this feature has not gained popularity among users. Threads recently reached 200 million users and introduced an analytics tool called Insights, along with plans to implement a post scheduling option.
