Microsoft is bringing the latest Call of Duty game to Xbox Cloud Gaming on day one, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 available to stream for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers at 10AM PT on its launch day, October 25. Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone will also arrive on the platform on the same day, marking the first time Call of Duty games have been playable on Microsoft’s cloud gaming platform. Ubisoft owns the rights to streaming Activision games after Microsoft cut a deal in 2023, allowing Ubisoft to license them back to Microsoft. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will feature a full campaign set in the early 1990s with new gameplay options like omnimovement and Supine Prone for enhanced movement and tactical flexibility. Meanwhile, Modern Warfare III, the previous year’s installment, is a direct sequel to Modern Warfare II, following a special operations unit tracking a war criminal plotting to start World War III. Call of Duty: Warzone, Activision’s 2022 battle royale game, offers a free-to-play experience similar to Fortnite, with locations including Urzikstan, Rebirth Island, and Fortune’s Keep.
