In this digital age, our lives are filled with screens, but sometimes accessing them can be difficult, or you may need a larger screen for your eyes. Meta has introduced a new app called Meta Quest HDMI Link for Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest Pro headsets, allowing you to connect any device with HDMI or DisplayPort and display their output on your VR headset. The app is available for download on your headset from Meta’s App Lab. With HDMI Link, you can watch videos, use your computer, and play games on your Quest headset from devices with HDMI or DisplayPort output. To use this feature, you will need a UVC and UAC compatible capture card connected to the device you want to view, with a USB-C male cable linking the card to your headset. While wireless options like Quest Air Link or Xbox Cloud Gaming are available on Quest headsets and easier to use, HDMI Link can be beneficial in areas with unreliable Wi-Fi connections and with devices that may not be compatible with a Meta Quest headset.
