Zoom recently announced that their webinar calls can now accommodate up to one million simultaneous participants, following the use of the video conferencing platform by political groups to raise funds for Vice President Kamala Harris’ election campaign. The company now offers various tiers for webinar calls with maximum capacities ranging from 10,000 connections to 500,000 and, of course, one million attendees, at a price. Booking a one-time webinar for a million people will cost you a cool $100,000. Aside from the webinar update, Apple Podcasts now has a web interface that resembles their standalone app, accessible on any web device with additional tools beyond just playing episodes. This update allows users to browse and listen even without an Apple log-in. Meanwhile, Alphabet’s Waymo has introduced its sixth-generation Driver system with a more efficient sensor setup, maintaining the same safety levels of previous versions despite a reduced camera and LiDAR sensor count. This system is integrated into Geely Zeekr EVs as part of a collaboration announced in 2021.
