Google’s turn to hold a major hardware event is coming earlier this year with the Made by Google 2024 showcase scheduled for 1PM ET on August 13. The event can be streamed live on the Made by Google YouTube channel. Expectations include the unveiling of the latest lineup of Pixel smartphones, including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 XL with a prominent rear camera bar. The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will also be introduced along with the integration of the Gemini AI assistant. Rumors suggest the announcement of the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds 2 as well. Despite recent product releases, Google seems focused on Pixel devices for this event, but surprises may still be in store. An “after party” event is set to start at 2:30PM ET for additional updates.
