Uber Eats is introducing a new social feature to their platform, allowing users to create curated lists of their favorite menu items from local restaurants. These lists can be easily shared with friends and family, making it convenient for when you’re sick in bed or just want someone else to handle ordering takeout. Users can also opt to keep their lists private, avoiding potential embarrassment over their guilty pleasure food choices. In addition to user-generated lists, the app will feature curated lists by influencers like Sam Roby of Chicago Food Authority and Ella Kahan and Emma Matarasso of Chew York City. This move towards social interaction follows other recent changes by Uber Eats, such as offering fresh produce from farmers markets and experimenting with driverless vehicles for deliveries in select cities.
